There have been many tests to try out the power transfer capacity of this kind of magnetic field and the latest tests have showed that the field was able to light a 60 watt lamb that was not plugged in. As a usual laptop needs a lot less power to be charged and it is not even worth to mention mobile phones and mp3 players as the level of energy used is so low, the wireless energy transfer system could already be used in reality also. One other device has to be installed so all the technical equipment would recognize and start using the wireless energy spread around them by the magnetic field. Now we are talking about a small chip has to be installed in them and also another chip to the power base station that will start to create the magnetic field transferring the wireless energy.
